UAEJobs.ae (“we”, “us”) operates a job aggregation website serving the United Arab Emirates. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. What we collect

• Browsing data: pages you view, search queries, filters applied, device type, approximate location (city level), and referrer URL. We use standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
• Cookies: small text files stored in your browser. We use functional cookies (to remember your preferences) and, with your consent, advertising cookies (to show more relevant ads).
• Direct submissions: if you post a job through our employer flow, we collect your name, email, company, and the listing content you provide.

2. What we don't collect

• We do not require job seekers to create accounts.
• We do not collect CVs, ID documents, or sensitive personal information.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google AdSense — serves advertising. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to show personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads.
• Vercel — hosts the website and processes anonymised server logs.
• Job source providers (Adzuna, Bayt, etc.) — provide the listings we display. Clicking “Apply” redirects you to their site, which has its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies and ad personalization

When you first visit the site, you'll see a banner asking your preference. If you accept, third-party advertising providers may set cookies to personalize the ads you see. If you reject, only essential cookies are used. You can change this anytime by clearing the uaejobs.cookie-consent entry in your browser's local storage.

5. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and equivalent regulations:

• You have the right to know what data we hold about you.
• You have the right to request correction or deletion of your data.
• You have the right to withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time.

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained for 90 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes. Employer submissions are retained for as long as the listing is active plus 12 months.

7. Children

UAEJobs.ae is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the homepage. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
